Vacuum collectors – general information
A construction that has eliminated solar energy losses resulting from solar radiation incidence angle is the vacuum collector.
Construction of this modern collector enables utilization of reflected and diffused radiation occurring at cloudy sky. For this reason, efficiency of vacuum collectors is 20% higher than efficiency of flat collectors. This value is particularly important in case of spring and autumn/winter season.
Vacuum collector vacuTube is a modern construction elaborated by means of latest technologies and materials. Main elements confirming technical advancement of this collector are:
  • glass pipe – made of hardened borosilicate glass, vacuum-tight,
  • absorber – copper strip absorber, ultrasonic welded with highly-selective layer,
Vacuum collector vacuTube due to its efficiency is an excellent proposal for investors that have lower insolation parameters or when their investment is located more towards north. Technology of closing pipes with vacuum by means of special metal alloy by thermocompression can considerably extend the collector utilization time and possibility of connecting of collector into batteries increases the amount of obtained thermal energy.
